Hi. I’m Nancy. Or Nancy Jane. Or just Jane. NJ works too. There was even a time I called myself Lola. (A few friends followed along at some point with that one as well.) I guess I’ve been quite a few different people in my short 27 years on this earth. I’ve been a daughter, a sister, a niece, a cousin, a student, a bridal coordinator, a skincare sales associate, and most recently a marketer for an amazing company with a huge heart and soul. I’ve been a girlfriend, an almost fiance, and a single gal. Living amidst this tangle of titles, was the real me. It just took me a few years I guess to really figure out who that was. This is me:
I am a lover of crafts, a DIY enthusiast that has a tendency to start multiple projects and complete few. I am a writer and an avid reader. (with a secret addiction to trashy Harlequin novels) I am a lover of all things creative and live inside my own narrated world, literally. I walk around and narrate what is happening as I go through my day. I love to feel inspired and get my inspiration from all over the place. I don’t like complete sentences and sometimes write in short choppy incomplete phrases. I promise that most of the time it makes sense.
I’m a nomad, I have a wandering heart that since the age of 18 has not kept a permanent residence, although I believe whether it be for convenience or comfort I have found a place currently to call “home.” Using the term loosely. I like the rain and would rather be out in the middle of the night than the middle of the day. In my past I’ve been called a “walking contradiction.” I used to think this was a bad thing, but have grown to learn that this simply means I am open to all possibilities, even if they are not of the norm for me. Four years ago I purchased a mush face Pekingese and he has captured my whole heart from the moment I picked him up. This is him:
His name is Miko, and believe me, he will make quite a few appearances. Possibly his own posts on occasion. I love fashion for a cause. My dream job is working for companies like Threads for Thoughts or Chavez for Charity or Sevenly. These companies are beyond inspiring and I can’t even BEGIN to go on about all of the amazing work they do. Although, I’m sure I will at some point during my time on here. I like the color cerulean, moonstones, the smell of new books, lipstick, and on cold days to eat tomato soup with elbow noodles. And that’s just me. In a long ranting, complicated, convoluted nutshell.
I started this blog in an effort to talk about life as I know it, and hopefully find some like characters, and (here’s a long shot!) inspire other people to see the world around them for what it really is. The beauty, the devastation, the chaos, and the simplicity. I will talk about current events, fashion, my dog, my work, celebrities, amazing companies ::links above cough cough::, and just being me.
Hi. Nice to meet you. This is me just being me. You can call me Nancy.
